Welcome to the Indonesian Festival 2008 Website

Indonesian Student Association of James Cook University - PPIA JCU and The Embassy of The Republic of Indonesia, Canberra proudly present IndoFest 2008, the annual event of the North Queensland Indonesian Festival. This year we proudly promote Tropical Indonesia in Tropical North Queensland as the theme to embrace the Indonesian's multicultural ethnic groups and also to support the 100 year nation's awakening on Visit Indonesia 2008. We believe that cultural diversity explores new ways to turn creativity. The literatures, arts, ways of life, value systems, traditions and beliefs present the diversity of Indonesia. Through this event we wanted to address the challenge of cultural diversity through the multitude of the material and immaterial attributes of arts and culture.
